Las Vegas Apartments Give ‘Green’ Honor to Midtown Crossing Complex

As a follow up to my article in Las Vegas apartments I found this and wanted to link to it.

Midtown Crossing Apartments, a 196-unit complex, won the National Apartment Association’s 2011 Paragon Award for Best Green Community. The award was presented in Las Vegas.

The complex was designed to be a progressive urban development with ecologically-conscious procedures and construction elements. Some features are:

Special insulation between the wall panels and exterior wall that significantly reduce energy consumption.

A waste recycling program that was introduced during the construction phase.

A continuing recycling program with receptacles placed on each floor where residents can seperate recyclables into glass, plastic, paper, and aluminum.

The Midtown Crossing development covers 15.5 acres and includes restaurants, condominiums and retail space, entertainment and park areas according to https://www.omaha.com/article/20110526/MONEY/705269939
